Greetings blog viewers,
For my first entry I’d like to share a little bit about myself with everyone. My name is Kyle, I am a junior at the University of Colorado Boulder, and I am majoring in Economics. I am a very big sports fan so any social issues or trends that arise surrounding the sports world, such as things like, the ALS ice bucket challenge, girls involvement in boys sports, or concussions in the NFL, I will be very interested in further exploring. As far as my college writing experience goes, the only other writing class I have taken prior to WRTG 3020 New Media & Civic Engagement was WRTG 1150 First Year Writing & Rhetoric. And finally, my definition of network engagement is social activism or keeping up on social issues by means of the internet whether that is through social media, blogging, or simply leaving comments under stories that you feel strongly about on news media websites.
